Radiodetection Flexrod | 9 mm × 60 m Duct Rod

Push a suitable sonde into an accessible pipe or duct with a 9 mm diameter, 60 m glass-fibre rod. This is a mechanical push rod: a separate compatible sonde supplies the locating signal. Check fittings and route clearance.

Move the sonde through the route

A Flexrod provides the mechanical means to introduce a sonde into a suitable pipe or duct. The sonde transmits the signal; the CAT receiver locates it. The bare glass-fibre rod does not provide the same energised line-tracing function as FlexiTrace.

Match the rod to the application

Consider the 9 mm diameter, route bends, length and the complete sonde/coupling assembly before purchase. The 60 m length is a nominal reach, not a promise that the rod will pass every route. A 120 m variant is available for suitable longer runs; confirm the selected connection fittings.

Choose the compatible CAT4 locator

Attach a compatible sonde using the correct coupling; the separate receiver detects the sonde. For core route tracing, compare the new CAT4 or refurbished CAT4. For estimated depth in Genny mode, compare the new CAT4+ and refurbished CAT4+. If your team also needs usage and location records, compare the new gCAT4+ and refurbished gCAT4+. New or refurbished condition does not add a feature that the locator model lacks.

Build a compatible locating system

Match the transmitter, receiver, signal frequency and mechanical connection to the application. Use compatible equipment together and follow the manufacturer instructions and your site’s safe system of work.
