Peak+ combines the signal-strength bar with Guidance or Null arrows, so the operator can follow a route and investigate a distorted response. Power Filters separate individual mains harmonics when power signals overlap.

Build the system around your task

This is a receiver offer. A transmitter supplies the applied signal for active tracing; it is separate unless expressly included in the box contents. A bag and rechargeable-power accessories are optional paid extras.

Apply and receive the right signal

For active tracing, transmitter and receiver must use a supported common frequency. Tx5 provides signal application and fault-finding signals; Tx10 and Tx10B also support Current Direction with a CD-capable receiver.

A 100 mm transmitter clamp applies a signal to a suitable cable. A 100 mm locator clamp receives the response to help investigate individual utilities. These clamps connect to different instruments. The direct-connection kit brings together the listed signal-connection accessories.

Fault finding and field accessories

For cable-sheath or pipeline-coating fault investigations, use the A-Frame with lead with a receiver and transmitter that both support Fault Find. It is a separate accessory unless itemised as included. The soft locator/transmitter bag keeps compatible equipment together in transit.

Rechargeable receiver power

Where not included in this offer, the compatible receiver Li-ion pack and matching mains charger provide a rechargeable option. Receiver and transmitter batteries are separate systems.

Use readings as part of a safe locating method

A locator detects electromagnetic responses. A silent or inconsistent reading does not prove that an area has no buried services. Compare signal behaviour, use the appropriate methods and follow your safe excavation procedure. Depth estimates do not establish that mechanical excavation is safe.

Is a transmitter included?

This is a receiver offer. A transmitter is separate unless itemised in the selected package.

Does the RD7200 record GPS usage data?

No. The RD7200 does not include onboard GPS usage logging. Compare the RD8200G when automatic GPS usage records are required.

Can it find non-metallic pipes?

It detects a suitable electromagnetic signal. A non-conductive pipe needs an appropriate detectable tracer, compatible sonde or energised traceable rod; the receiver does not directly detect plain plastic.
