A point transmitter for pipes and ducts

The sonde is pushed or otherwise introduced into a suitable pipe, then located from the surface with a compatible receiver. It helps follow an accessible route or investigate the position of a blockage. It is not an inspection camera or a tool for clearing the blockage.

This listing is the 33 kHz version. Other frequencies in the manufacturer’s Standard Sonde range must not be treated as interchangeable with the CAT4 workflow. Check clearance for the 39 mm body and the complete rod/coupling arrangement. Manufacturer locate-depth figures depend on the receiver and conditions.

Choose the compatible CAT4 locator

Use a receiver that supports this 33 kHz sonde signal. For core route tracing, compare the new CAT4 or refurbished CAT4. For estimated depth in Genny mode, compare the new CAT4+ and refurbished CAT4+. If your team also needs usage and location records, compare the new gCAT4+ and refurbished gCAT4+. New or refurbished condition does not add a feature that the locator model lacks.
