A locator and signal generator that work together

The CAT follows a detectable signal; the Genny4 applies one to a suitable service. This gives you an active locating method alongside Power and Radio detection. Select direct connection, compatible clamp application or induction for the job, following the manufacturer instructions. An initial Avoidance-mode sweep does not replace the complete survey procedure.

Estimated depth in Genny mode plus usage records and GPS/GNSS location logging. GPS records where the locator was used; it is not survey-grade utility mapping. Depth readings, where supported, are estimates and do not establish safe clearance for excavation.

SWING warning alerts to excessive movement, and CALSafe provides a calibration lockout setting. GPS usage records support operator and fleet review. These aids do not replace training, a complete survey or safe excavation procedures.

Build around the included equipment

For appropriate clamp application, add a compatible 100 mm Genny clamp or compare the used clamp offer. It connects to the transmitter, not directly to the CAT receiver.

For non-metallic pipes, a Standard 33 kHz sonde or S18A sonde provides a locatable point; check frequency, fittings and route clearance. A 60 m Flexrod or 120 m Flexrod pushes a suitable sonde. To apply a signal along a conductive rod instead, compare FlexiTrace 50 m and FlexiTrace 80 m.

Add the CAT-and-Genny carry bag if required; it is an optional selection for this refurbished kit.
