C.Scope 640Hz Metal Pipe Sonde

The C.Scope YIRS-640 640Hz Metal Pipe Sonde is designed to emit an ultra-low frequency signal of 640Hz, capable of penetrating the walls of metal pipes. This feature makes the sonde particularly effective for identifying blockages in underground metal pipes, especially when used in combination with a C.Scope MXL4 Multi Frequency Locator.

Constructed from a combination of plastic, stainless steel, and epoxy resin, the C.Scope YIRS-640 boasts an IP68 rating for ingress protection, ensuring its suitability for insertion into water and sewage pipes. It is equipped with a metal stud that can be screwed onto a 7 t.p.i. thread, allowing for easy maneuverability using a drain rod or other tools such as jetters, rodders, or camera equipment. The sonde can be used in pipes with a minimum diameter of 50mm.

This low-frequency accessory is highly effective for detecting blockages in metal pipes and offers a substantial 25-hour battery life with just a single 1.5V AA battery.
