C.Scope 8kHz Non-Metallic Pipe Sonde

The C.Scope YIRS-8, a Non-Metallic Pipe Sonde, operates at 8kHz to emit a strong signal from underground pipes, detectable by C.Scope MXL4 Locators in generator/transmitter mode. This device is adept at tracing non-metallic pipes such as gas, water, and sewage lines up to 7 meters deep, aiding in avoiding accidental strikes during excavation in large-scale projects.

For effective tracing, the C.Scope YIRS-8 needs to be inserted into the pipe. Its design facilitates this process. It boasts a robust construction with an IP68 rating, combining plastic, steel, and epoxy resin to prevent water damage. Additionally, it features a rod attachment compatible with any standard 7 T.P.I. thread drain rod, making it easy to maneuver underground. It can also be used with duct rodders, jetter hoses, or camera inspection systems and is suitable for pipes with a minimum diameter of 50mm.

The C.Scope YIRS-8 requires just one 1.5V AA battery for up to 15 hours of operation, making it an essential tool for enhancing the functionality of all C.Scope MXL4 Cable Locators.
