Rotary vs Line Laser Levels: Which to Buy
Use a rotary laser level for outdoor and large-area work where you need a level or sloped reference all around you: groundworks, drainage falls, formwork and site levelling. Use a line laser for indoor alignment tasks where you need crisp, fixed reference lines: tiling, partitions, kitchens, dot-and-dab. What a rotary laser does
A rotary laser spins a beam to project a continuous 360-degree level plane around the instrument, picked up by a detector on a staff. That makes it the tool for:
