How does the Sonde Location mode work?

In Sonde Location mode, the signal generator is attached to both terminals of the unit to energize the 12mm x 70mm end coil housing. This allows the tip of the rod to be located as a traditional sonde using a 33kHz compatible cable locator.

What are the rod and frame specifications?

The system features a 100m length rod with a 9mm diameter, encased in a polypropylene sheath on a steel frame measuring 950mm x 820mm x 400mm. It is lightweight and compact enough for one-person transport and operation.

Can this system locate non-metallic pipe paths?

Yes, by connecting the signal generator to one terminal and an earth stake to the other, the rod can be located along its entire 100m length. This Line Location mode allows operators to map the full path of a non-metallic duct or pipe.
