The Dart Flexitrace 306-50 is a professional 6mm x 50m traceable rod system for identifying the path and depth of non-metallic pipes and ducts. It enables precise line or sonde detection at depths up to 3m when used with 33kHz signal generators.
The Dart Flexitrace 306-50 provides a compact and lightweight technical solution for the location of buried ducts, pipes, and drains. Constructed with a 6mm glass fibre rod containing internal copper conductors, this system allows operators to trace non-metallic utilities that cannot be detected by standard electromagnetic locators alone. It is designed for one-person deployment and serves as a highly efficient alternative to using standalone sondes in small-diameter conduits.
The system supports two locating modes: Line Location, where a signal generator is attached to one terminal and an earth stake to trace the entire rod length, and Sonde Location, where the generator is connected across both terminals to energize the 9mm x 75mm end coil. These methods allow for the detection of obstructions, collapses, and the determination of depth up to 3m in pipes as small as 12mm in diameter.
The unit features a glass fibre rod with a protective polypropylene sheath mounted on a robust steel frame measuring 700mm x 580mm x 250mm. It includes a manual brake to maintain control during deployment and requires no batteries, as it operates entirely on the signal provided by a standard 33kHz generator.
The Dart 306-50 is fully compatible with any Cable Avoiding Tool (C.A.T.) and Signal Generator operating at the industry-standard 33kHz frequency. Its lightweight design ensures ease of transport while providing a durable solution for determining the path and depth of non-metallic underground assets.
