Crawler Systems
A crawler camera is a motorised, remote-controlled tractor that surveys mainline sewers a push camera cannot reach, typically 150mm and up. With pan-and-tilt cameras, traction wheels for silt and a sonde for locating, crawlers handle long runs and water-authority adoption surveys.
For when and how to use one, see our crawler inspection guide, and the wider method in the drain CCTV handbook. Smaller pipes? See push cameras. For occasional large-diameter jobs, ask about CCTV drain survey hire.
